What is Art? What is Valuable Enough to Keep?

The answer depends on YOU. There is no single type of work that  can answer those questions.  Art, like beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.   The value of an art work or a work of historical value is the meaning we give it.  Conservators are trained to respect the values inherent in works of art and artifacts. We seek to preserve those values throughout the treatment of the material.
